Bejeweled is a puzzle game that was created by PopCap games all the way back in 2001. More than 75 million copies of Bejeweled have been sold, and the game has been downloaded more than 150 million times. Let’s be honest, it was the game we were all addicted to before Candy Crush Saga came along!
But for those of you who may not be familiar with how the game is played, the objective is to swap one gem with an adjacent gem to form a horizontal or vertical chain of three or more gems of the same colour.
Bonus points are given when chains of more than three identical gems are formed and when two chains are formed in one swap. Gems disappear when chains are formed and gems fall from the top to fill in gaps.
The more combos you make, the higher the prize. If you are lucky enough to get a run of 16 gems you can win the top prize of 100x your stake. As you can actually play this game for £200 a turn, you can potentially win £20,000.
The fun of Bejeweled has always been making the matches yourself and as this isn’t an option, it kind of takes the fun out it. That said, it is a unique way to approach the game and if you fancy giving it a go you are sure to enjoy this game!
