Finding a great scratchcard, with a huge jackpot and at a reasonable price is not as easy as you think.
With £10 scratchcards no longer in circulation in the UK, the most you can now pay for one, in a shop, is £5.
The good news is that at just £3 the Cosmic Cash scratch card is even cheaper. Themed on outer space, creators are hoping you’ll be out of the world with joy when you play it.
How To Play Cosmic Cash Scratchcard?
If you’ve decided to buy a national lottery scratchcard as a little treat to yourself then of course you will want to know how to play it.
We all know that you need to scratch the panels in order to reveal the symbols and hopefully that wins you some cash.
However, these days scratchcards can be a little overwhelming as more and more bonus games get added.
We’re not complaining of course, as more games equals more chances of winning, but we also understand that some of them are not very straightforward.
The first thing you need to know about the Cosmic Cash scratch card is that there is only one game and playing grid on it.
Basically, it’s all or nothing!
Main Game: This is the tricky bit and you need to pay close attention so you don’t miss out on any coordinates.
Essentially you are given 21 different codes located in the ‘Your Coordinates’ box which is the one with all the £ symbols.
First off, you have to scratch that panel to get those codes. They will something like F6, C4, A7 etc…
Once those coordinates are revealed, you scratch ONLY those squares on the Playing Grid below.
The idea is that as you scratch off the squares, you reveal space-related objects such as a comet or a space shuttle.
If you manage to scratch off one whole object then you win the prize in the corresponding prize table at the bottom of the card.
The top prize on offer for the Cosmic Cash scratchcard is £300,000.
Only three cards in circulation, from the initial run, have that prize.
To win it you need to reveal a space object and then scratch the corresponding item at the bottom of the card to determine how much you have won.
Believe me, that is not as easy as it seems because if you accidentally scratch the wrong panel you could mess the whole thing up!
The next biggest prize available is £10,000. And while that is not an insignificant amount of money, other cards do offer £100,000 so the jump from ten grand to £300K is quite a big gap.
There are also only three £10K prizes in circulation from the initial run so the twist is that you have as much chance of winning £10k as you do winning £300k!
Chances Of Winning
According to the National lottery, this scratch card has a 1 in 3.47 overall chance of winning a prize.
The lowest prize on offer is £3 but with 26 different potential cash prizes, the amount you can win reaches a whopping £300K.
Now before you get too excited, I should point out that from the 9,129,120 Cosmic Cash scratchcards printed in the initial run, only THREE contained the top prize.
So the reality is that you have a one in three million chance of scooping the top prize.
Of course, you have a much better shot at bagging a smaller amount of either £3 or £5 as between them, there were over 1.5 million of them in circulation.
Like all scratchcards, the higher the potential prize, the less chance you have of winning it.
But don’t let that stop you because somebody does have to win the top jackpot prize and there’s no reason why that cannot be you!
How Many Prizes Left On Cosmic Cash Scratchcard?
As we’ve already mentioned, the Cosmic Cash scratch card has three top jackpots of £300,000.
At the time of writing this and according to the National Lottery, all three of those top prizes are still waiting to be won.
You can claim on a winning card even after they have gone out of circulation. Any money won must be claimed before the end of the 180th day after the closing date of the relevant games.
BONUS GAMES
As far as bonus games go, the Cosmic Cash scratchcard has none. There is one game and that is it.
Even then, it’s a complicated game that doesn’t offer much fun and few chances of actually winning anything.
So if it is bonus games that you are after, you might be better trying some online scratchcards which do have extra bonus games, increasing your chances of bagging a prize.
Quite often their jackpots are also bigger than those available on the high street.

Whether you’ve bought the card as a treat or perhaps a gift to pop in a friend’s birthday card, you should know that it is still a form of gambling as such there are game rules and regulations.
