How To Play Full of £1,000s Scratchcard?
If you’ve decided to buy a national lottery scratchcard as a little treat to yourself then of course you will want to know how to play it.
We all know that you need to scratch the panels in order to reveal the symbols and hopefully that wins you some cash.
However, these days scratchcards can be a little overwhelming as more and more bonus games get added.
We’re not complaining of course, as more games equals more chances of winning, but we also understand that some of them are not very straightforward.
The first thing you need to know about the Full of £1,000s scratchcard is that there are 22 rows on it.
That means you have 22 chances to win a prize.
Main Game: Unlike some other scratchcards I’ve reviewed recently, Full of £1,000s is very straightforward.
Each row has two bundles of money and the word ‘prize’ on it.
Scratch the panel off and if you have two identical numbers on that specific row, then you win the prize.
It genuinely couldn’t be easier – scratch, match two winning numbers, win the money.
In an unusual twist, the National Lottery has decided not to offer one big jackpot prize. So the top prizes on offer for the Full of £1,000s scratchcard are all £1,000.
That may not seem very attractive for a scratchcard that costs £5 but the good news is that the original print run had 3620 cards with a £1000 prize on them.
They’ve clearly gone with ‘quantity over quality’ with this particular card!
The next biggest prize available is £100. And while that is not an insignificant amount of money, other cards do offer more than that.
Chances Of Winning
According to the National lottery scratchcards page, on the Full of £1,000s scratchcard game, there is a 1 in 2.95 overall chance of winning a prize.
They also claim that this scratchcard has “the best odds of winning £1000 on any National Lottery scratchcard”.
Let’s be fair, that would be difficult considering the entire selling point of the card is to win £1k.
The lowest prize on offer is £5. After that you could be lucky enough to win: £10, £15, £20, £50, £100 or the £1k.
Now before you get too excited, I should point out that from the 15, 210, 240 Full of £1,000s scratchcards printed in the initial run, 3620 contained the top prize.
So the reality is that you have a 0.02% chance of scooping the top prize.
Of course, you have a much better shot at bagging a smaller amount of £5 as there were over 1.3 million of them in circulation.
Like all scratchcards, the higher the potential prize, the less chance you have of winning it.
But don’t let that stop you because somebody does have to win the top jackpot prize and there’s no reason why that cannot be you!
How Many Prizes Left?
As we’ve already mentioned, the Full of £1,000s scratchcard has thousands of £1,000 prizes.
At the time of writing this and according to the National Lottery, just over half of them are still waiting to be won.
You can claim on a winning card even after they have gone out of circulation. Any money won must be claimed before the end of the 180th day after the closing date of the relevant game.
BONUS GAME
As far as bonus games go, there are none on this card. Zippo. Zilch.
The best you can ask for is to find the crossed fingers National Lottery symbol or a double ££ sign and you get to win or double the prize on the row you find it on.

So if it is bonus games that you are after, you might be better trying some online scratchcards which do have extra bonus games, increasing your chances of bagging a prize.
Quite often their jackpots are also bigger than those available on the high street.
